Ellie Outfit Review

by Lara on April 24, 2013

Before I start talking about working out, thank you all so much for the support in my last post.  It’s been a tough couple of weeks around here, for various reasons, so I really appreciate the blog love.

Moving on!

This is a follow-up to my first post about Ellie.  I received my first outfit in the mail a couple weeks ago and have basically been living in it when I have not been reluctantly washing it.

My first impression was that the fabric is really nice.  Most of my workout wear is cheapie stuff from Target or Ross, so this is a serious upgrade.  I do have a few pieces from Lululemon, and this felt very similar.  When I actually tried it on, I was immediately impressed with the fit.

Admittedly I’m not doing a huge amount of “working out,” these days, but I’m trying to stay active, whether it’s walks on the treadmill or around Greenlake on a rare sunny day.

I’m no fashion blogger but I’m going to give this a try here.  I’m wearing:

  • Just Like Heaven top by Ellie ($34.95)
  • My New Obsession legging by Ellie ($59.95)
  • Really Old Sneakers That Need Replacing

I think the pricing is very reasonable for the quality!  The outfit is from Ellie’s February collection, which is still available to order.

I was a little nervous about trotting around Greenlake in skintight compression leggings, but I think these are actually pretty forgiving.  You can’t see through them and they didn’t show pantylines or bulges.  I am grateful.  And so are the other people walking Greenlake.

My one complaint with Ellie’s clothing is that I have yet to see a pair of non-legging pants in a collection.  I would really love some yoga pants, for days when I’m not feeling the skintight nature of compression leggings.  I asked the company via Instagram and they told me we can expect to see some of those in mid-June.

Glad you like the clothes! You look great!

I miss the days when the kid was in a stroller… (and have pretty much forgotten the fact that he didn’t sleep much at night back then…).
