On the day you were born, it was barely February. The first day of a new month.
It was a Monday. The first day of a new week.
We had every reason to believe it would be another rainy, dreary, winter day as we raced to the hospital in darkness.
But on the day you were born, you brought the sun.
For thirty years, I’ve foolishly believed that mothers had to divide their love between children. How would I ever do it? After all, it was your brother who made me believe in love at first sight.
But on the day you were born, in your first second of life, you shattered every worry. You made me believe that love multiplies.
We were already a family.
But on the day you were born, you made us complete.
